Born and raised in Detroit, we learned early the value of resilience, creativity, and seeing the world with curiosity. Those roots shaped LORD and Smith Travel , a company built on the belief that your time and your peace of mind matter.
From group journeys throughout the world to romantic escapes, we've spent nearly 20 years helping travelers fully arrive , before the plane ever leaves the ground. LORD and Smith Travel began long before it became a business. As sisters born and raised in Detroit, we were the ones family and friends trusted to plan vacations, organize group getaways, and bring travel dreams to life. When the opportunity came to turn that passion into a company in 2007, it felt like a natural extension of who we already were.
From the start, our mission was clear: create meaningful, affordable vacations that encourage people to enjoy life, rest, and reconnect. Now based in the metro Atlanta area, our work has taken us to more than 30 countries across six continents, expanding our expertise and strengthening the relationships that make this work so rewarding.
Over the years, we have earned respected industry accreditations including IATAN, CLIA, and SNG (Special Needs Group). We are also members of ASTA and PTANA.
